Apprenticeship is career education combining on-the-job training and related classroom instruction. Apprenticeship usually lasts about 4 years. During this time, the apprentice works under the supervision and guidance of a journey person. ACT gives students a jump on their four-year apprenticeship while in high school by completing the first year.
