The meeting was called to order at 4 PM by George Kania. Introductions were made.

Secretary?s Report
Motion made and seconded to approve the minutes of December 5, 2007 meeting with correction that Kevin Corrado was present at the meeting. Motion carried.

Treasurer?s Report ? Robert Vaughn
Treasurer reviewed the financial report. Motion made and seconded to approve the financial report. Motion carried. Past Due balances: Keith Sommers to contact Rinker Materials; Kevin Corrado to contact Tri-Tech A/C. Executive Director will send copies of outstanding invoices to the Treasurer.

Executive Director?s Report ? Nancy Merced
All 77 pre-apprentice registrations have been submitted to the State. The Annual Membership Breakfast was successful. The Director is working on a retrospective of ACT and met with Bob Falatic and Robert Clark for background information.

School Reports
Harvey Levine ? Feedback from the December Guidance Counselor meeting was positive.
Rob Anderson, Principal, Edgewater HS is planning a construction program for 9th and 10th grade students. Intent is to move these students into pre-apprenticeship in their Junior year.
ACT members are encouraged to visit classes.
Tom Runnels ? Nancy reported that Mr. Runnels is working with Kevin and the Marketing Committee on labels for the mail-out.

Old Business
The Golf Tournament is tentatively scheduled for September 19th or 26th. Nancy, with assistance from Robert Vaughn, will request prices from several courses.
Marketing Committee ? Kevin Corrado
A successful meeting held with 25 Seminole County Guidance Counselors. The Committee is still working on scheduling a Guidance Counselor meeting in Osceola County.
The ACT mail-out has gone to Orange and Seminole County students. Osceola County mail-out is scheduled to go out soon. The mail-out consists of a flyer, teaser letter and program info. Thanks to Nancy, ACT was able to send the info bulk rate, resulting in a considerable savings to ACT. Feedback has already been received.

New Business
Motion made and seconded to appoint Sarah Kelly, Wayne Automatic, as Fire Sprinkler Trade Representative. Motion passed
ACT Graduation ? Suggested dates for ACT Graduation are May 7th or May 14th. All 3 school districts will be consulted to determine if the dates will work with their schedules. Nancy will start getting quotes for the banquet.
Question was asked, ?May we approach suppliers as Associate Members?? Answer is Yes.
